Conference FAQ

Everything you need to know

Dates, cost, housing, meals, what to wear, and travel — here's what to expect before you join us at Pacific Union College, August 5–9, 2026.

The Conference

Dates, cost, ages, and access.

What are the conference dates?

August 5–9, 2026. The conference begins on Wednesday at 6:00 PM and concludes on Sunday at 10:00 AM.

Are weekend options available?

Absolutely! We understand that not everyone can attend the entire conference. Weekend attendance options are available, including:

  • Friday–Sunday
  • Sabbath-only (Saturday)
Where will the A29U Conference be held?

Pacific Union College (PUC) · 1 Angwin Ave, Angwin, CA 94508, USA.

How much does it cost to attend?

Attendance is FREE, but registration is REQUIRED. A29U does not charge for registration or meals. God's Word tells us, “Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew 10:8) We trust God to provide for the conference expenses.

However, attendees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own lodging, whether through PUC housing or nearby hotels and Airbnb accommodations (see the Housing section below).

Please note: If you register and later find that you cannot attend, please let us know at least one week in advance so we do not incur meal costs on your behalf.

Is there an age restriction? What about children?

We welcome attendees of all ages! A children's program will be available for ages 5–12, allowing parents to attend seminars while their children learn about God through songs, stories, and crafts.

Children under 5 and youth over 12 are encouraged to remain with their parents in the main meetings. While parents are welcome to stay with their children during the children's program, we strongly encourage parents to attend the main sessions, as we believe they will be impactful, meaningful, and spiritually enriching.

Will the conference be live-streamed?

Yes. More details to follow.

Will language interpretation services be available?

Yes. AI-powered interpretation technology will be available during the meetings for those who need language assistance. Please ensure your phone or tablet has sufficient storage space to download the interpretation app (specific app information will be provided closer to the event).

Housing

Dorm rooms, bedding, and nearby lodging.

How much does it cost to stay in the PUC dormitories?

PUC has made the following dormitory accommodations available for A29U Conference attendees:

Andre Hall (suite-style bathroom)
• $90 per night — dorm room without linens
• $115 per night — dorm room with linens provided

Grainger Hall (community bathroom)
• $75 per night — dorm room without linens
• $95 per night — dorm room with linens provided

Rates are per room, per night. There are two twin beds per room and room capacity is for two adults only. A family with 2–3 small children is allowed to stay together and may bring extra sleeping mattresses.

Please note: Dorm assignments and payment processing are handled directly by the PUC Housing Department, not A29U.

What if I am traveling alone and booking a dorm room for myself?

We welcome lone travelers! Please indicate your room preference when submitting your housing registration with PUC. If possible, please share a room with another attendee due to limited room availability.

Do I need to bring bedding if I stay in the dorms?

PUC offers a linen package for an additional fee. The package includes: 2 sheets, 1 pillow with pillowcase, 1 blanket, 1 hand towel, 1 face towel, washcloths, hand soap, and a plastic trash bag.

Please note: Guests who do not purchase the linen package must bring their own bedding and pillow.

Will toiletries be provided?

PUC housing provides sample-size toiletries. Guests are encouraged to bring any additional personal hygiene items they may need during their stay.

When will I receive confirmation of my PUC dorm room reservation?

Guests who have submitted housing requests will receive a payment link based on their selected room type. Once payment has been received, PUC will send a reservation confirmation via email. For housing-related questions, please contact the PUC Housing Department: studentlife@puc.edu · (707) 965-7362.

Are there lodging alternatives nearby?

Yes, there are hotels nearby as well as in neighboring towns, but expect to pay a lot more than the PUC dorm rates. Less expensive options in the Napa Valley exist; however, they will require daily driving of at least 30 minutes to more than one hour on a twisty mountain road. If you decide to choose that option, please plan accordingly and do online searches for available hotels and rates.

Does PUC offer discounted rates at nearby hotels?

At this time, PUC does not have discount arrangements with nearby hotels.

Meals

What's served and how to plan for dietary needs.

What type of food will be served?

Meals will be vegetarian/vegan, with gluten-free options available. Two meals per day only (brunch and dinner) will be served, beginning Thursday and continuing through Sunday. For families with kids: please bring snacks as needed.

Can special food requests be accommodated?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate all dietary preferences and food restrictions. If you require additional or specialized foods, please bring any supplemental items you may need during the conference. There is a village market and deli a 5–10 minute walk from the PUC main campus, with a variety of food options including fresh produce.

Will there be places to store or prepare food for those staying in the dorms?

Yes. Guests staying in the PUC dormitories may use the communal kitchens located in Andre Hall and Grainger Hall. Information regarding available kitchen equipment will be provided when confirmed. Please be aware that the conference schedule will be packed, and personal cooking time will be very limited if you choose to do so.
